Description: The discovery of wreck Jakljan (a.k.a. SS Adria) was a happy accident. A 40 meter long, armed German cargo steamship, used in World War II, was eventually destroyed by our famous bura (strong northeastern wind) in 1944. Anti-aircraft cannons, leftover cargo, broken masts, lifeboat davit and similar clues tell the story of the ship’s life and eventual tragic end.
